2027 Tshwane Chess Tournament Request

All schools and clubs,
We are pleased to announce that we have officially started working on the 2027 Tournament Calendar.

With the growing number of clubs and schools wishing to host events, we have introduced a streamlined request process to ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to be included. If you would like to request a tournament date for the 2027 season, please complete the form via the link below: https://www.cognitoforms.com/TshwaneChessRegion/_2027TshwaneChessTournamentRequestForm

Please note that the final cutoff date for submissions is Sunday, 17 May 2026. However, we highly encourage you to submit your requests as soon as possible, as early applications will have a significantly higher chance of approval when we begin balancing the schedule.
Our team will review all submissions carefully to create a balanced and competitive schedule for the upcoming year. Thank you for your continued support in growing chess within our region.

Kind regards,
Tshwane Chess Management

Notation sheets for new players

Notation sheets for new players

Chess notation can be quite daunting for new players! To help, we’ve created a downloadable sheet for all new notators. It includes a legend on the side to remind you of all the notation abbreviations. You’ll get the hang of it in no time! If you don’t have a notation pad, please print a copy of this sheet for each round.
