Seven regional events will take place across the city in May and June, with separate sections for primary and high school players.

Primary School Prizes (Grade R–7):
Top 3 each receive a chess set and medal.

High School Regional Prizes:
1st: R2,000 + trophy
2nd: R1,500 + trophy
3rd: R1,000 + trophy

City Finals Prizes (High School):
1st: R3,000 + glass chess set
2nd: R2,000 + glass chess set
3rd: R1,000 + glass chess set
