Welcome to all new Players!

A note to parents and new players:

Welcome to the chess world, where the only thing more bewildering than a Sicilian Defense might just be a chess tournament entry form!  But fear not, we’ve got your back. We’re here to decode the chess jargon and navigate the sea of ratings and rooks together!

A quick tip for the chess parents out there: arm yourselves with a good book, a cooler bag stacked with snacks, and the most throne-like camping chair you can find. Why? Because as your chess prodigy grows, so does the length of their games. We’re talking all-day chess marathons that could test the patience of a saint!

So, buckle up and get ready for an adventure. Remember, even Kasparov started with a confused “Pawn to where?” Welcome to the chess community!
